The first short story by Ernest de l'Autin to be published will soon be released through Amazon.

The short story is entitled Soon. Based on an early poem that I wrote of the same title, the story evolves around the character Dr. Pierre-Paul de la Moret from "The Quest Series: Reach to the Wounded Healer, Of the Oaks, and "Haunted by Spirit." Remaining on a journey to find calm within his own soul, and troubled by the events following 9-11 (specifically America's retaliation escalating the event into a global Holy War), Paul pleads for peace. Yet, where he seeks to challenge authority, he finds himself once more having to remove the "plank from his own eyes" so to better assist his brethren in "removing the splinter" from their own. Doubt seizes him, yet in pushing through he discovers healing once more in the eyes of an elderly woman who has paid a great price--the loss of not one, but three loved ones to three different wars. In this Soon becomes a call for peace through love-filled actions--actions that conquer all.
